Kevin Hart is probably not watching the Oscars this year. Probably. How would anyone know this? Because the comedian—who was slated to host the awards show before making a controversial exit—shared a video of himself going boxing on Instagram, about one hour into the awards show.

“When you feel like u have nothing left is when you find a way to push & give more....Always grinding. #HustleHart,” Hart wrote in the caption for the video. He also tagged trainer Hino Ehikhamenor. “Shoutout to @hollywoodhino for always pushing.”

The comedian posted a few video clips on his Instagram Story as well, showing his son hanging out and being adorable at home. You know what he wasn’t sharing clips of? The Oscars. Which, again, Hart probably, maybe, definitely was not watching. Back in December, Hart was announced as the host of the awards show. But shortly after the announcement, some of the comedian’s old homophobic jokes resurfaced, sparking backlash directed at both Hart and the Academy itself for not thoroughly vetting his past material. But rather than issuing a standard apology to smooth out the drama and carry on, Hart at first refused to say he was sorry—then apologized only after announcing that he would be stepping down as host. He also declined a request to return to the Oscars that came from Ellen DeGeneres, who urged Hart to reconsider. The Academy forged ahead with a hostless ceremony and, so far, it’s . . . been pretty good.
