Robert Pattinson single again as Twilight star splits from fiancée FKA Twigs
The Hollywood hunk's fans will no doubt be overjoyed at the news as he has been off the market since he started dating the singer in September 2014
AS vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, ROBERT PATTINSON was a pin-up for millions of teens around the world.
And now his legion of fans might be pleased to hear he’s back on the market, as I can reveal Rob has split from fiancée FKA TWIGS.
Rob started dating the singer whose real name is TAHLIAH BARNETT, in September 2014 and they got engaged just seven months later.
But he has called time on their romance after the pair grew apart over the past few months.
A source close to the couple said: “They were almost inseparable for their first two years together.
But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together.
“Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split. With so much history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there.
“It’s a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time and they both know they were no longer working as a couple.”
Robert, who ended his four-year relationship with Twilight co-star KRISTEN STEWART in 2012, is currently filming new sci-fi adventure High Life.
And he has plenty more work to keep him busy, with three other movies in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, FKA Twigs has been in London working on her second album, having just released debut album LP1 when they met.
Speculation grew over the state of their relationship when she was seen last month without her engagement ring — just weeks after she was pictured in Ibiza with model Brieuc Breitenstein.
And Rob raised eyebrows in July when he said he was “kind of” engaged to her.
But he gave her glowing praise in the same interview, saying: “She’s super-talented and from a totally different world.”
In the three years they have been together, they have looked miserable in almost every photo.
So if it puts a smile on either of their faces, then hopefully the split will be worth it.

No flicker no doubt as Niall nails it
NIALL HORAN was always the guitar-strumming singer- songwriter of ONE DIRECTION.
So as the boys try to establish themselves after the split – with mixed results musically – Niall has naturally moved as far away from the dance-dominated charts as possible.
While HARRY STYLES went down the sophisticated Bowie-esque rock ’n’ roll route, Irishman Niall is unashamedly soft rock – think JOHN MAYER crossed with ED SHEERAN.
The ten songs on debut album Flicker – out on Friday, October 20 – are all top quality.
The record is a mature listen with lovely instrumentation and super-smooth vocals. And just like Niall’s personality, it’s laid-back and chilled – perfect for a Sunday afternoon in the park.
Rip-roaring
Alongside hit singles This Town, Slow Hands and Too Much To Ask, there are seven new songs.
Here’s a track-by-track rundown of the lyrics:
- ON THE LOOSE: Upbeat opening about a seductive woman. He sings: “She’ll run with your mind and pull you in tight, then trade you in for something new. I know what it’s like, I fell for it twice.”
- SEEING BLIND: Rip-roaring country duet with MAREN MORRIS. They belt out: “Oh, my, my, you just took me by surprise, and I can’t believe my eyes. Oh, I must be seeing blind, you’re too good to be all mine.”
- PAPER HOUSES: Heart-breaking ballad about a dying relationship. Niall ponders: “I don’t wanna lose your touch, I don’t wanna hurt this much, I can feel you slipping away.”
- SINCE WE’RE ALONE: Relaxed tune in which Niall expresses his interest to a new love. He croons: “Why would you wanna please someone else? I love you best when you’re just yourself, yeah, you’re everything I want.”
- FLICKER: The most beautiful and heartfelt song on the album. He sings: “There’s a light in the dark, still a flicker of hope that you first gave to me, that I wanna keep. Please don’t leave.”
- FIRE AWAY: Soft-singing Niall encourages a lover to open up. He tells her: “When you’re losing your grip, even if I don’t understand, you can talk to me. Fire away.”
- YOU AND ME: Complete with a guitar solo, Niall ends the album on a high. He sings: “When I look down the line at the man I wanna be, I’ve always known from the start that it ends with you and me.”
- HOUSE Every Weekend producer DAVID ZOWIE has returned with his brand new single The Real Don and a video which mocks DONALD TRUMP and KIM JONG- UN.

Dua gets naughty
DUA LIPA is a woman in high demand.
Having just returned from supporting BRUNO MARS in the US, Australia and New Zealand, she performed at the Manchester Academy on Tuesday as part of her own headline tour.
And the singer, who is still riding high at No4 in the charts, has revealed she has another collaboration on the way after NAUGHTY BOY reached out to her earlier this year.
In an exclusive chat, she said: “We went to write a song for my album. I was in the studio with him and this songwriter called Emily Warren, who actually wrote No Lie.
“We wrote a song together and he really liked it so it might be on his album.
“I really don’t know what the future holds for that song but it’s a personal song. I feel really close to it.”
If it is anything like Dua’s other tunes, I can’t wait to hear it.
- LOUIS TOMLINSON has today released a brand new tune. He wrote on Twitter: “I wrote a song called Just Like You a few months ago.
My next single will be a bit later this year. This is one of my favourites from the album.”
Barlow's solo
GARY BARLOW has confirmed my story that he will perform a series of intimate solo gigs.
Today, just a week after I broke the news, he announced 33 dates at 24 venues, kicking off in Edinburgh next April.
It’s his second solo tour since TAKE THAT re-formed in 2005. But this time there will be no solo album to go with the tour.
He said: “I had a lot of fun in 2013 when I played those smaller venues because you’re so much closer to the fans.
“I’m also really looking forward to playing in a couple of cities I’ve never played before, as well as getting a chance to meet the fans there.”
