A new fan-made trailer has been released, giving fans an approximated taste of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne in The Batman. Created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, the character first debuted all the way back in 1939. Since then, he's been adapted for screens both big and small by a myriad of actors. The translations have ranged from knowingly campy to extremely gritty. Most though, are not without their dedicated fans. The cape and cowl were most recently worn in theaters by Ben Affleck. Affleck played the role in both Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Though he was previously attached to co-write, direct, and star in a standalone outing, plans ultimately fell through. Reeves went on to assume the former two positions, promising a return to the character's younger days and a more noir tone.

Who would end up taking over the role, however, was the source of much speculation. Though numerous actors were reported as under consideration - with even more putting their names forward - it ultimately came down to Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) and Pattinson. After a number of screentests, including some in full Batsuit, Pattinson was officially cast as Batman. The announcement has since been met with much derision from those unable to forget his role in the Twilight films, but also a wave of passionate and high-profile support.

For those who continue to doubt the decision, however, a YouTube creator by the name of Billy Crammer has made a trailer teasing how Pattinson's interpretation might look. The creator borrows heavily from a blend of different sources, for both Batman and Pattinson. From the latter's career, he uses Rover, amongst others, to depict the character's origins and globe-trotting preparations. Not to mention his heroic streak, demonstrated by him stepping in to stop an attack. And once he's Batman, the creator uses scenes from Cosmopolis - which is the most often used example when defending the casting - to highlight the kind of epiphany Bruce Wayne would experience in putting on the cape and cowl. Check out the full, intense video below:

The footage of Batman in action comes largely from the Arkham video games, as well as from Titans, the DC universe series that's currently in production on its second season. Although the show largely follows Dick Grayson, a.k.a Robin, as he attempts to forge his own path, the character of Batman appeared in the finale, albeit courtesy of a dreamlike state Dick was sent into. The role was played by a stuntman, but will be a more definitive part of season 2 - with Game of Thrones' Iain Glen announced to be playing the part.

As for 'Battinson', as he's come to often be referred, it's too early to tell what kind of Batman he'll be and glean details regarding the plot. It's expected, however, that the film will not be an origin story, and it's rumored that it'll feature multiple villains, including Penguin and Catwoman. Speculation has already begun regarding who could and should play them. As for Bruce Wayne, however, this new fan-made trailer just made it a little easier to envision Pattinson's take ahead of an official trailer for The Batman.
