In fact, by dressing in nothing more than crop tops, shorts, and weather-repelling snow boots, singer FKA twigs and model Ruby Aldridge proved just how mild that wind chill turned out to be. Ditching the forecast-appropriate insulated snowsuits, the two headed to the roof of a New York City building for an impromptu and uproarious photo shoot that took the season’s most daring styles for a trial run.
Glittering in her tie-neck halter top, twigs popped a squat in her cheeky denim dookie shorts, accessorizing her weather-defying ensemble with a matching tiara and heart-shaped sunglasses. Crouching low beside her was Aldridge, showing off plenty of skin in a punchy lime green ruched crop top. The model’s pale snow boots complemented the fresh powder that lay under her feet, while her pink shades gave the winter blues a run for their money. The risk of hypothermia may have been real, but like Kim Kardashian West, Pamela Anderson, and Mariah Carey before them, the two managed to pull the look off while seeming totally chill.
