Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson (born May 13, 1986) is an English actor best known for playing Edward Cullen across five “Twilight” movies and Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” Growing up in London, Pattinson began working as a model as early as age 12 but shifted to acting in his later teens. He became a breakout star after 2008’s “Twilight” alongside Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Leveraging his international fame, Pattinson went on to work with actors like Reese Witherspoon in “Water for Elephants” and Paul Giamatti in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis.” Later in his career, Pattinson would continue to work with auteur directors. In 2017, he teamed with Josh and Benny Safdie for the New York-set thriller “Good Time,” which earned him indie credibility and a slew of acting nominations. In Robert Eggers’ 2019 psychological thriller, Pattinson acted opposite Willem Dafoe as 19th-century lighthouse keepers locked inside due to a storm. He worked with Christopher Nolan on 2020’s time-traveling sci-fi actioner “Tenet” opposite John David Washington, and while on set Pattinson helped inspire the director to make his next film, “Oppenheimer” after he gave Nolan a book of the theoretical physicist’s speeches. Pattinson entered the comic book world in 2022 by playing Batman in Matt Reeves’ dark, gothic take on the superhero. A sequel to that film, which also starred Zoë Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano and Jeffrey Wright, is set for 2026. In 2023, Pattinson lent his voice for the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki’s Oscar winner “The Boy and the Heron,” and in 2025 the actor will star in Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi film “Mickey 17.”
